Some examples for Heightening

We can use sheep for ETF image

ETF feature with soft scaling function

To space out the ETF lines, I did it by dealing with the intensities under the mask. I showed the similar images to you yesterday. Now I remember why other pixels show evenly. It is because of the mask size.

It seems the values cannot say a lot of things. But the MSSIM looks reasonable.

Mosaics based on doodling lines

It's very interesting for mosaics. At least the examples show the flexibility and powerful varieties. But some properties should be constrained.
1. the size of bounded regions---might be a minor issue
2. How to define the final shapes of bounded regions?
3. Each bounded region should follow the edges without losing the similarity of shapes.-- a modified packing issues??
4. The color choice for each tile might be a feature.
4. Mosaics can be one of the goals. Another goal could be abstraction based on forms.

Some pictures for goals to be chosen

Some far-away goals
1. Texture generation e.g. tree barks are good example.
2. Some meaningless mosaics
3. Mosaics with meaning(e.g. Animosaics, Simulating Decorative Mosaics)
4. Abstraction from patterns
